Rena + Jeffry // Shooting a Wedding as a Guest

Random , September 8, 2015

6 years ago, I shot my first wedding ever.

It was Rena’s older sister. The gear that I used was a Nikon D40x with a kit zoom lens. Those shots sadly didn’t make it into my portfolio. I had no idea what I was doing.

Fast forward to today, I had the privilege again to attend a wedding as a guest. This time I can experiment using a setup that I have never used on an actual day on the job, the Leica M240 and also the RicohGR. The Leica made me slow down and properly compose and expose an image before pressing the shutter as for the Ricoh was my spray and pray camera.

The other thing that allso excites me on the day was to see fellow photographers and videographers on action. Adi, Dodo and Donny for Axioo. Jonathan and Christian for VNM films.

all the images below was edited with the Blacksmith presets from the Redleaf Tribe.
