Nepal // A Reminiscence of the Past
Travel , March 21, 2014
2013 was the busiest year for me as a wedding photographer so far. I thought to myself, before I start the wedding season in 2014, I wanted to refresh myself and fall in love in photography all over again by traveling, exploring new places and meeting new people from other parts of the world.
So, by the end of December 2013, I found myself starting to browse for countries where Indonesians don’t need to apply Visa. As I started to browse the list of those countries. Two stood out and piqued my interest, they were Nepal and Morocco.
I actually have travelled to Nepal back in 2001 with my mother. Unfortunately I was only 10 that time and had no interest in photography just yet, my memories of Nepal was also beginning to fade and can only remember a few things from that trip.
This time, I decided to bring two small cameras: The Fujifilm X-E2 and the Ricoh GRV. The decision to not bring the big DSLR was because I didn’t want to feel as if I am in a working mode. Here are some quick sneak peeks from the first part of my journey last January.
